Best Picture Ever, originally uploaded by misterjt.

This is my mom's generation of the family (all her brothers and sisters and cousins) with my great grandparents in the farm lands of Sandusky, Illinois. My mom looks to be about 5 or 6 years old so this is maybe 1963 or '64.

That is spectacular! I need to hunt down and scan a similar (-ish) photo of my granny and grandpa and their first several kids. At the time, my auntie and uncle would be the 2 wee ones in arms. So sweet!

I have a great picture of an aunt (who is my grandmother's age) as a child in a mock wedding ceremony. It is the ONLY picture I have from my past, a story that is as lengthy as I am bitter about it.

My mom's family has a similar photo of the 5 kids with my grandma and her mom from about 1962. As with your family photo, everyone is wearing madras plaid or stripes.

Now I want a plaid jumper dress... I think I maybe a wee bit old for one... ;o)
