This reminds me of the AV Club interview with Michel Gondry. In it he said "I don't like cynical people. I don't like cynical movies. Cynicism is very easy." That's totally, totally true. I used to be very snarky and a bit cyncial, I've moved toward being much more open and much more earnest, I like myself much more this way and I very much like that your company promotes sincere helpful and open service to elevate someone's experience instead of perfunctory, technically correct service.

Well done house of Mouse.
I don't think I'm often cynical (except where politics is concerned but that's changing, maybe). My pathological optimism won't allow for that. However, I used to joke all the time about how I didn't like people. That's such a small way to think about things.

I do enjoy being earnest and honest. It's easier on the constitution. And, as an adult, I've learned that you don't need to be snarky to be funny.

Totally using that anecdote in my next employee meeting, as well as in my own life.

It is really nice to know that somewhere in the world customer service is not dead. It must be all that sunny California weather ; ) I used to be a very almost overly optimistic person, but as the years have gone by I am becoming more and more cynical unfortunatly.
