Merry Reduction Day

Comments

I've added more social media on my plate since the New Year rang in. I'm now on Hi5.com because my kids hang out there. I've started to play around with badoo.com . I've seen badoo referenced in the top 10 sites with myspace and facebook. However, the badoo.com moderator is picky. They rejected my picture photo because I have my hand beside my face. Yet, the website is definitely for the grown and sexy base on some raw and uncut pictures on the site. So I wish I new about "Merry Reduction Day" before the count down to 2008.

Peace, Kevin

I've also been grappling with this too. All these profiles and not enough meaningful interaction lead me to believe that these social networking sites really are a distraction from the real life I should be living. Facebook is first on the chopping block for me too as I just feel like I'm too old to be there.

I think I'm with you on the Facebook thing. But for me, cutting back may not mean cutting it out entirely. I may just let it go dormant, much the way my MySpace page is. Some tools are just too useful to get rid of. Flickr is a good example. But something definitely needs to go. Now that my blog is heaving itself back onto its feet (lighter now without that all that pesky readership) the time issues suddenly went critical.

we'll always have scrabulous...*wipes eye*

I made some critical addition mistakes on Twitter that have changed my experience and I've been wondering how to resolve that for about a month. Removing someone from twitter is a lot like trying to tell someone "it's not you, it's me"...when it really IS them.

I also wish this reduction exercise was as easy in "meat space." I would like to delete some of the jiggle from my midsection, please.
