QotD: My Favorite Holiday Traditions
What are some of your favorite holiday traditions?

I assume we're talking about the winter holidays?
I'm not big on traditions. I'm not one who finds much comfort in them and my family has never much reveled in pomp and circumstance but here are a few things that stand true on most Christmas mornings:
- Me waking up well before the rest of my family.
- Making breakfast for and with my family.
- Wearing shorts.
- An afternoon nap.
- Pro Basketball.
- a Christmas Day movie.
- An early bedtime.
Nothing extra special. I attribute this to debunking Santa Claus (and, thus, all holiday myths) at 5 years old by sleuthing and catching my parents putting the presents under the tree. I watched from the steps, went back to bed, woke up and when my dad said, "look what Santa Claus brought you!" I knowingly sneered, "There ain't no Santa Claus" while opening my presents.
Some might call that precocious.

Others will call that "you."
