Speakeasy: Nightmare on i Street
My iTunes library, of about 12,000 songs consisting of 60GB of data, got corrupted today. The MP3 files themselves are okay, but all of the metadata is blown away -- playlists, play counts, ratings, and all my little tweaks to song and album titles.

It's happened to me twice, and to make it worse I lost all the music too. The second time I thought I would get smart and built a RAID for my music server. Worked great until the card and 3 of the 5 drives failed.
Now I keep off-site backups with friends and backup my library at least once a quarter.
