Ha. See, I love Pam I just think Karen and Jim would be better together. That and Rashida is just hot fire and needs to be on my TV acting cutesy as often as possible.
I like Pam as well, but she really already had her chance. Sure I get the circumstances, but she knew what she wanted and didn't go for it like Jim did with her. I don't know Karen yet, so I'm not wholeheartedly in her camp, but she deserves a shot.
Yeah, I'm conflicted. On the one hand, Pam had more than one chance to get with Jim (Casino Night, after Casino Night--hell, BEFORE Casino Night) and she didn't do it. But then, I see how she has self-esteem issues and maybe that's why she held back. I look forward to seeing how Jim and Karen play out as well as how Pam handles it. Something tells me we're going to see Pam transform into a more self-assured woman and then she'll go after Jim properly. And then? Mee-freakin-Ow.
TEAM PAM! Although, to be honest, Jim was kind of a jerk this week -- his scene with Toby made me cringe -- and if it keeps up, I may end up on Team Roy.
Come on, Karen's Italian accent on her voice mail killed me.
They've always hinted that Jim and Pam are both kind of mean spirited (although it seems to be a defense mechanism against the ridiculous tedium of their lives) but at least Jim has always been aware of his tendency to throw low blows and, you know, he's always been pretty straight up with his feelings.
He's also the only one that gets and appreciates Michael for who he is trying to be.
Pam, though, while she's heckuv fun is scared to be who she is and seems to be consistently resigned to letting life pass her by.
Karen is hilarious....I think I'm swaying to her side. Its too hard to decide. Pam does look like crap on the show though... so if we are going by looks you'd have to go Karen...poor poor Pam and her bad Perm.
I don't think Jim is the only one who gets and appreciates Michael's intentions. Remember The Dundies, when another customer in the Chili's started busting on Michael in front of everyone, and he got all defeated and started to quit giving out awards? It was Pam who saw Michael getting picked on, didn't like it, and cheered him on to finish the ceremony even though there was a very good chance that her own Dundie would be uncomfortable and embarrassing to receive ("Longest Engagement").
It was kind of like how it's okay for you to tease your own family but not okay for someone else to do it. In that kind of circumstance, we've seen Pam step up and have Michael's back, and we know Jim would do the same.
Love your post, love the t-shirt, and I'm definitely all about Team Karen. And yeah, Rashida Jones is all kinds of hot. (Hey, something my boyfriend and I both agree on for a change!) I love Pam, I do, and I started watching the show because of Jim and Pam...but that Herr's Chip hunt pretty much sealed the deal for me. Karen's personality is so much more suited to Jim's.
