I'm just going to point out that after spending hours dissecting this video with Reggie and Oen in 9th grade nearly 20 years ago, I still know every single step and can do the entire routine (almost, that feet together push back and shift during the 2nd chorus is the hardest move to accomplish in the entire thing) and have probably done several of them sometime in the last month.
There's been an awful lot of dancing going on.
As a kid, from about 1982 to 1992, I'd guess that I danced nearly every day. I loved school dances. I pop-locked with friends in the driveway. I think the first time I got kissed by a girl was at age 8 or 9 after teaching her how to moonwalk.
I still dance by myself at home...but not often enough.
I need to get back to that. And, by the way, screw "My Prerogative" and "Don't Be Cruel." This and the Tender Roni remix are the best songs off of this album, by far.

Don't tell nobody but I'm adding that back in to my playa playlist.

Almost every stylistic choice I made from 1984 to 1993 had some connection with New Edition and all it's off-shoots. My doodle of choice in high school was this graffiti version of the letters SBM which stood for "Sensitive Black Man" which was all because of Ralph Tresvant's drippy "Sensitivity". I've performed the entire routine from "Poison" at Spider with absolutely no shame. "If It Isn't Love" is one of my all time favorite songs and videos.
I know all the words to "Iesha". I spent hours of my junior high school life discussingg the finer points of the running man routine in "Every Little Step".
I even give Johnny Gill's goofy ass a pass.
Not liking New Edition is a total deal breaker for me. I don't even know if I could look at you if you uttered unacceptable blasphemy towards Ronny, Bobby, Ricky, Mike, Ralph and Johnny too. And that also includes Boys II Men, ABC, BBD - the East Coast Family.
Word to the Mutha.

Yay Ann!
The only time I've rocked the Karaoke Mic was my freshman year of college (93 y'all) and it was as a group doing Love Shack by the B-52s.
If, however, I ever come across a Karaoke Machine featuring Eddie Murphy's Party All The Time or Bobby Brown's On Our Own (with Rap) then I will take the mic and turn the mutha out.
